How to Get Rid of a Turkey Neck
Double chin, turkey neck, whatever you call it, it’s that nasty extra layer of fat and loose skin you carry just below your jaw. Nobody wants one, so how do you get rid of it?
The easiest, and perhaps most expensive, is liposuction. Yes, the overpriced surgeon wielding the scalpel of youth is at your beck and call with the solution to all your ails. He can easily slice and dice that turkey neck and whip it back into the shape it was when you were twelve, though it will probably cost you somewhere in the neighborhood of a couple thousand dollars. But, you won’t have to do any goofy yoga or go on a crazy diet in order to have the best neck on the block.
If the thought of surgery makes you squirm, there are other, maybe not quite as effective, methods to aid you in your quest to vanquish the double chin. First thing is posture. If you haven’t noticed already, if you look down nor have a constant slack jaw appearance, your turkey neck is more prominent. Try keeping your head held high. This works wonders for your appearance and is a great confidence booster. Also, try keeping your mouth closed more. This helps keep your double chin under wraps as well as keeping the peace with your co-workers.
Secondly, try exercising it away. Tilt your head over to the right, place your opposite hand on the back of your head and press forward. Then try returning your head to its normal, upright position. You can practice this technique pretty much anywhere, but try not to do it much in front of others, they might think you’re nuts!
Lose weight! This is the number one thing you can do on your own that will lessen the appearance of your turkey neck, not to mention all the other health benefits you’ll reap from doing this. It’s hard, but on one said that life was easy.
Women, go to your local department store and ask the beautiful ladies there what make up techniques you can employ to reduce the appearance of your turkey neck. Usually, the older ladies that staff these counters during the day not only have had classes in the art of makeup, but have been putting them into practice for several years and have perfected them.
