How to Get Rid of Lower Ab Fat
You stare down at your abs, wishing that the lower ones were part of a solid six pack instead of slowly inflating flab, wondering how to change them. This is not as hard to do as it may seem at first, but with a little work and time it is more than possible. Two things to consider are diet and exercise: how much do eat and what are you eating; how much are you doing proper exercise? Cardiovascular Exercise
First and foremost is getting enough cardiovascular exercise. This is achieved by starting out walking about twenty minutes a day, and slowly increasing this over time. You can substitute any other aerobic activity such as biking, running, swimming and a variety of others. This is important because you will only increase the size of your waist if you do crunches without doing exercise to help remove the fat.
Crunches
Second, crunches are a wonderful way to destroy lower ab flab. Lay on the ground and position your feet on a wall with your legs bent at an angle. Put your hands behind your head and lift your upper body off the ground, coming up slowly and stopping halfway up. Stay here for a few seconds as you tighten your abs, and then slowly bring your body back down, then up again without touching the floor. It is critical that you don’t bend at the waist; stay straight. Keep your neck straight and use your abs to lift you – this will keep you from using your lower back.
Other Abdominal Workouts
Another wonderful exercise is to sit on a workout bench that is inclined and grip the seat above your head with your hands. Bend your legs out together and then slowly bring them in towards your chest and then out again, each time tightening your ab muscles. Make sure that your back is well supported against the chair, and do not bring your knees in all the way to your chest. If you hold the position for a few seconds just before you take your legs back out, you will get a better workout.
By watching your diet, exercising regularly and following the tips above, your flab will soon melt into a smooth, envy grabbing six pack that will also ensure a healthy, happy life.
