Sorry ladies, but for some women there is NOTHING you can do to prevent/cure morning sickness. I was nauseated and vomited several times a day from week 3 all the way through week 17. It didn't matter what I ate - I threw it up. Including water, crackers, gingersnaps, chicken broth and ginger ale. It varied every couple of days. Grilled cheese sandwiches were my savior for a week, then I couldn't eat another one ever again (still can't!). I survived on rice krispy treats for 3 days as well. I was really concerned, but my doctor said it was no big deal. As long as you keep at least one thing down a day and take your vitamins then you're fine. The baby doesn't need that much nutrition during the first trimester. A note about vitamins though... if your stomach is very sensitive, take them at night before you go to bed.

The only thing that somewhat worked for me was drinking water and shoving a few crackers down my throat before even moving out of bed. I would literally lie in bed awake for 30 mins. before even thinking about getting up! I eventually threw it up, but at least it postponed it for a few hours. My husband and I affectionately nicknamed the baby "parasite" because it literally sucked the life out of me for 4 months! Hope your experiences are better than mine!

I find that morning sickness usually gets better with time. Like if you get up at 8 am within a few weeks to months your body adjust to this and it gets better.

But I always use some sort of base to help ease my morning sickness. Drink a little milk when you first wake up then a little water.

A great solution that you can use is apple cider vinegar. It is a perfectly natural substance that will help calm the stomach down, so you don't get into a nauseas state.
