How to Get Rid of Nasal Congestion
Nobody likes having their nose stuffed up. Let’s face it, it’s not the best way to go through life. Plus, you get tired of sounding like a 1950′s operator. As much fun as it was to hold your nose and mimic the operator when you were kids, living with full nasal congestion is no fun at all. Not to mention, this will also cause you breathing problems and problems with your sleep. The less air you’re getting in, the harder it’s going to be to sleep. So how do you get rid of this horrible affliction?

Vap O’ Rub
That’s right, VAP o’ Rub. It actually spells it like that right on the bottle. Just like your mom did when you were a kid. Lather that stuff all over your chest so that it is right under your nose and wait. Within a few minutes the nasal passages will start to break free, the sinuses will begin to unleash, and your nose will be running in no time. Most of the time a running nose is bad, but with nasal congestion, it’s the first step of getting better.
Hot Water with Vinegar
The old home remedy that works better than most realize. Take a towel and put it over your head. Place the bowl of boiling hot water and vinegar on a table, and lower your head over the bowl. Make sure that there is no way for the vapors to escape. Then breathe deeply through your nose. If you truly can’t breathe, breathe through your mouth and try your nose every so often. Stay under the shroud as long as you can.
Hot Water Up to Your Nose
Get a toy tea pot. The tea pot should be able to have water flow through it. Fill it up with water as hot as you can stand. Tilt your head over a sink, and place the spout of the tea pot at one nostril. Then pour it into your nostril, letting whatever excess drain out into the sink. Do the same thing to the other side.
All in all, there is no cure for nasal congestion. There are only ways to help. These ways have been used by hundreds of people through out the years. I have used them for nasal congestion. Actually, many doctors swear by them in their day to day practice.
