How to Get Rid of Nose Hairs

Imagine you have a major party to go to and you do everything you can to make yourself look absolutely stunning. You buy yourself a gorgeous dress and the best pair of shoes to go with it. Every single detail is paid attention to. Your face is made to look charming and glamorous. But then, something would just have to go wrong. One of the worst possible things that could go wrong and could prove to be extremely annoying would have to be watching a couple of your nose hair butting out of your nose just a few seconds before you hit the road. Not only does it ruin the looks of your face, but it is also the reason for itchiness and irregular sneezing.

You might wonder, what is the use of having nose hair except for it being a pest? Well, the hair which you find in your nose is not like the hair you find in any other part of your body. It is more like a defense mechanism for preventing the entry of millions of micro organisms present in the air inhaled by you. Without nose hair, the chance of you being prone to various communicable diseases like cough and cold becomes extremely high. Therefore, utmost care must be taken while trying to get rid of your nose hair. It is always advisable to get them trimmed instead of having your nose completely devoid of its natural filter.

The two most commonly used methods to get rid of nose hair are by the use of:

1. Tweezers
2. Electronic nasal trimmers.

Tweezers might seem to be slightly painful during your initial attempts, but by far it is the most effective solution. The process of eliminating nose hair using tweezers might seem to be simple, but there are a few steps that need to be followed to ensure safety and to minimize the pain.

1. Begin by first sterilizing your tweezers by either cleaning it with an alcohol or by just passing it over a flame for a very few seconds.
2. Wait for the tweezers to cool down if you used heat for sterilization.
3. Groom your nose hair in such a way that it is placed in the same direction as the growth of the hair.
4. Now, carefully take out one single hair and hold it with the tweezers. It is not advisable to take more hair at a time, as it will only cause more pain.
5. Slowly pull out the hair in the direction of its growth. The keyword here is SLOWLY. If you think that the faster you do it, the lesser would the pain be, then you think wrong. Instead, just take the hair out slowly and you won’t even fail the pain!
6. To avoid any irritation later, apply some cream or a cube of ice to smooth the area.
It is always advisable to use the tweezers when your nose is in a moist condition.

Electronic Nasal Trimmers are technology’s answer to a pair of tweezers. Various makes of such automatic trimmers are available in the market now, at quite reasonable prices.
