A quiet and serene moonlit night, the stars shining down on your face giving you an angelic glow and that uncalled for source of happiness, when suddenly you hear a buzzing noise. You turn to find out if your mobile is vibrating, only to see something small and winged fly right into your face, sting your chin and run for cover. Ouch!
Wasps are the common names for these highly irritating insects called Yellow Jackets. They build nests in the most uncommon of places and they raise huge colonies in a short span of time. They cause large amounts of trouble and the skin becomes dry and wilted after a wasp bite. There are some ways to get rid of these yellow jackets.
Learn to isolate your house from nature. Nature is vital for homes to flourish, but that strictly does not mean your house should be surrounded by the woods or an apple orchard. The reason why you shouldn’t do this is because trees are breeding grounds for a variety of insects and pests that grow in large numbers. The queen yellow jackets lay larvae or eggs in large numbers and these keep growing exponentially over time only to bring on a little more trouble in the future. So do build a house in a well lit, developed area and make sure you ward off all natural habitats.
Do a routine check of all the trees and shrubs outside the house, and if any nests are found, use fire to relocate them. The process is very simple. Just give a source of heat to the bottom of the nest and the yellow jackets will separate and run for their little dear lives. Thus the yellow jacket population can be considerably reduced.
